The contemparary church is dying my friends. Thinking people who want to know the real Jesus are falling away. We don't like being called unchurched by the way. we are sick of your labels! Oh, stop trying to make "jesus famous". He is not some nerdy 5th grader who needs you to improve his image. Get over yourselves. All of these church plants are just groupies for all the "famous preachers" like Perry Noble, Terry McCollum, etc… all over caffienated jerks who are more interested in their stupid blog than real people. Go sale amway.

True, we all have sinned… but repentance is the key. Got to look at the fruit of anyone and stop playing this hollow grace card. All of you guys have taken the church and started a 2Timothy church where "large crowds are gathered and ears are tickled". You wear your tight jeans, gell your hair, wear sandles, drink too much coffee, talk about the unchurched, read all these stupid books, talk about yourselves…. basically, it is all just spiritual masturbation. I won't even talk about the holiness of God and the true church- it would fall on deaf ears. Gary has blasted many pastors, spread many rumors of other pastors, trashed a guy who had an affair, sent his church members to other churches to count attendees so he could see if he was larger, and basically has never, ever preached an original or indepth sermon in his life. Dude cannot preach- he is loud- he parades himself as being obnoxious and "balls to the walls" but Joel Osteen has more content than this dude.

For one, Gary Lamb and who he is and what he has done has NOTHING to do with the Christian church. He basically has a history of scandal, lies, cheating, and doesn't seem to want a real job. His calling is simply Gary's calling. He creates his own scandal to cause Twitter traffic. He wants to be Perry Noble. He wants to be somebody and has spent his life trying to be famous to gain some weird approval from adolescence. He is the guy who bought a magazine cover (as many churches do) in Canton and then claimed that the magazine "did a story" on him and his church cause they are so radical. He blastes the church that he needs to realize he is a part of.

Mr. Lamb divorced his wife and married his adultress, then he started another church. Mr. Lamb needs to repent and get out of the ministry. Before anyone gives me the King David speel. Read your Bible. King David was a politician from the tribe of Judah. Levites were Priests. Restore a Politician o.k. Priests involved in gross sexual immorality are never restored.

Good post, Shaun. My mother's church (which will remain anonymous) went through this EXACT situation about 5 years ago and it tore the church in 2. Half the congregation wanted to forgive the pastor and half wanted him "run out of town" (which sadly, he was).
Satan wound up getting in and tearing that church apart and it has never been the same.
I pray that our brothers and sisters in Christ at Revolution Church are able to avoid this.

And you are right…. we are ALL guilty.
Let's not focus on the speck in our brother's eye until we examine the log in our own…..

definitely praying for the lamb family, and for elena's family too. feels like a punch in the gut. but we are not without hope – God is faithful and can still do amazing things in all of it that will show His grace and power to heal and forgive and restore and make new.
