All of us like something different about President Obama. If you could just pick one thing, what is your favorite quality of President Obama? I love how devoted he is to his family, I love his speech giving skills, but I have to be real – my favorite thing about him is just how cool the brother is. His walk, his talk, his swagger – sometimes under serious pressure is just so doggone cool!

I did a write-in vote for Mike Huckabee. I was not a supporter of Obama. The people have voted and spoken and He is now our president. I may not like everything he stands for, but he does have my respect and for the next 4 years he is our leader. Our voice to the world. I am glad it is him and not McCain. I do like Obama’s ability to captivate a crowd. He also seems very genuine when listening to the “everyday man” I am impressed with the way he is handling the transition. Very smooth and well thought out. He has my prayers and support.
I like the way he chose Rick Warren knowing full well he was gonna tick some of his own peeps off.
He seems like he has a thing for loyalty – which is cool.
And that’s all coming from a guy who didn’t vote for him. But I tell ya – I hope he is the best president this country has ever seen. I believe if that happens a lot of mouths on both sides of many lines will have no choice but to be quiet.
And ya know what? Thank you for being you – I like your passion and your ability to welcome everyone’s perspective.
That says something about ya man…
I like the way he has used technology and social networking. Let’s hope he keeps using it!
I think he is a great dad. Not necessarily a presidential quality but one of the most important any man can have.
During the primaries, Obama ran as a far left wing candidate. During the election, he ran as a centrist democrat. As the president elect, he has made some good appointments. He has reached out to republicans in a wise and thoughtful way. He will not be able to keep the 500+ promises he made during the campaign, but he may turn out to be a good president.
I hope that those who support him with such passion are not disappointed as he must make decisions for the entire nation and not for small interest groups.
One thing?? I can only pick one thing?!?!
That’s hard…but, one thing that I really, really love is his calmness. He is passionate, yet calm and respectful. That is quite a combination.
I also love his genuine concern for each of us. Not just the political “big wigs,” and the rich people who gave money like crazy to his campaign… but each of us common, everyday people. I fee like he truly CARES if we lose our jobs, if we lose our homes, if we can afford food, if innocent people are killed in a war, etc.
And yeah Shaun, he is SO freakin’ cool!! Not to mention, he is extremely easy on the eyes!! :-)
I like the way that he’s attempting to bring all Americans of all races, faiths, etc. together. It’s a tall order…but at least he’s giving it a go!
I love the fact that PRESIDENT Obama inspires greatness. We need a leader that inspires people and I believe he is going to unite and inspire our country in a way that hasn’t happened in years!
A Man that gave hope back to America. He has let us hope again…now we have to help him, help ourselves.
I like his devotion to families, not only personally, but policy-wise as well.
I love the fact that him and Michelle have a geniune love for one another (and that they show it).
I like that he doesn’t mind making folks uncomfortable, and he isn’t afraid to be wrong. He loves his family and seems naturally uncomfortable being a demigod (our fault)…we should learn much about ourselves in the next eight years. Yup.
His willingness to work with the other side and his all-hands-on-deck approach. We’ll see how that plays out. Also, his excellent use of technology. The new White House site looks very, very good.
My favorite thing about him is his choice to make Hillary Clinton his Secretary of State!!! :D Definately a wise man to do that! I really like the fact that at the Inauguration yesterday, it seemed he is stepping down from his Celebrity status and into a real politician. In his speech, he didn’t use phrases like “Yes We Can” but instead spoke to the people as a President and not a celebrity icon. America doesn’t need another celebrity. America needs a President who knows what they are doing to get the U.S. back in order. Hopefully Obama can do it!
I love his wit and coolness. He does have “swagger” like you said. LOVE that! Most of all, I love that he didn’t break out into the “O-ba-Ma” chant like many of his followers. I love that he doesn’t play the race card like most of his followers. I love that he’s an example of unity, not just a speaker of it. Glad to have him as my President.
That he is a Chicago White Sox fan!
I love his ability to create consensus among people from such diverse perspectives. Although we are not going to all come together and agree on everything, he can hear different ideas and make decisions that we can all feel like we contributed to in some way.
