- WE ARE JUST 21 DAYS AWAY FROM OUR GRAND OPENING!!!
- I am still high off of the good we did for the beautiful kids in this video. Our whole team is still stoked! My favorite part is when the girl screams when she sees her gift.
- If it's true that you can tell how much God loves you by the quality of people you are surrounded by then God must really love me :)
- I am getting WAY too much credit for stuff that I simply don't deserve credit for. The great toy/uniform giveaway, all of the media attention, and so much more of what we are doing has happened because of so many friends, family, and launch team members that are giving this thing their best shot!
- Was very amped to live on 97.5 FM here in Atlanta on Friday night with CoCo Brother! I went in for a 5 minute interview, but ended up being on the air for well over an hour. It got juicy and CoCo and I were able to do some good ministry together. Not sure if we can snag an MP3 of his show, but it was good stuff! He is a good dude and I hope to work with him in the months ahead.
- I am getting very excited as I type this.
- I can't believe that God allows my sorry tail to do what I do for a living! Thank you Jesus!
- We have launched ChurchSucksChallenge.com and have gotten a HUGE response here in Atlanta and around the world. I have a lot to say about it, but will wait until tomorrow to give you some pretty amazing details. Have you been there yet?
- Atlanta is a city of transplants. Very few people in the city are from the city.
- Because of this, the city really shrinks during the holidays in a major way.
- About 20 people from our launch team met today @ Buckhead Church.
- We joked that we didn't know if it is crazier that they are cool enough to let another church in the same city gather and meet in their space on Sunday morning or am I the crazy one for taking our team to such an awesome church that does what they do so very, very well.
- I am a BIG fan of Buckhead Church and hope to count them as our partners and friends in the city forever.
- Most of the team we had with us today had never been to Buckhead Church before.
- I guided a tour before the 11am service as if I worked there.
- I attempted to show our team what the children's ministry area looked like and a woman that was a total bulldog at the front door refused to let us go into the space…with a staff member!
- It was an awesome teachable moment for our entire team on how serious security is! We laughed and were proud to see her hold her ground. She was right and we were wrong and she showed us that some rules are not meant to be broken. Period.
- Security is a big deal for me and will be a big deal when we launch – particularly for the kids!
- I kid you not – our team thought the Christmas service today was one of the best services (of any season) that we had ever experienced.
- The set, the music, the popcorn, the movie, the message, the music, the set, the message…EVERYTHING today was amazing!
- From start to finish the worship service was like a passionate, well-orchestrated opera about the need for a Savior. Beautiful!
- We had great college student join us today that learned about the church from a Facebook ad as well as man that learned about our church on Friday when I was on the radio.
- I hope to blog about our marketing campaign and answer all of your questions this week.
- Our team picked up a free computer from John today. Thanks man! We'll put it to good use!
- We still need your help with our launch team! You can join us today!

It’s wonderful that you attended Buckhead with your team. It’s a great church, and you don’t aim high if you aren’t eager to learn from people who are doing other amazing things. The majority of people in Atlanta don’t know & and don’t follow Christ, so we need a lot more churches, especially ones like what your team is planting. Praying for you!
Shaun, you reminded me that each time I take our youth and adults to an event at my “adopted” church I wonder if they will get attached to the other church. As a matter of fact one little girl said the other day that she thought my adopted church was beautiful and wondered if we were going back to our church (lol). But I keep taking them because I know we can learn a lot from them and they have been gracious enough to allow us to come in and be a part of their family. Sounds like that is what Buckhead has been to you and yours.
By the way I loved watching the video. I can’t wait to hear about the next step for you all. And will continue to pray for you and your family. Tell your wife I said hello and that I miss her blog post (but I understand she is just a little bit busy….smile).
