I've spoken to a lot of people in a lot of places (from murderers on death row to Fortune 500 CEO's…I could tell an inappropriate joke there) but I must say that speaking tomorrow to the leaders of Buckhead Church is pretty doggone high on my list of favorite places.
For the past 6 months my entire family has had an absolute blast at Buckhead Church. I've blogged about our experiences a bunch if you look around at my previous posts (here is a post to several). The church is the bomb and I am so thankful to God for giving us our time there. When my 9 year old daughter, Taeyonna, was baptized with many of her peers this past Saturday I realized just how bad we are all going to miss being there when we launch The Courageous Church on January 11th, 2009.
Tomorrow I will be sharing the good, bad, and ugly of my experiences there as well as what I've learned that will help me as a church planter.
I want to thank Jeff Henderson, Carlos Whittaker, and so many of the volunteers and staff members for welcoming the King Team and Courageous Church staff with open arms. I hope to be your friend in the city for the rest of my life.
