We Signed the Contract!

We've been talking about it for months, but today we took the big leap and signed our contract and paid our deposit to host our Sunday morning services at Center Stage.  A creative and cool facility cannot and will not reach people all by itself, but it helps.  Here's what I like about Center Stage:

  • No church has ever hosted Sunday morning services there
  • It's in a perfect, easy to find location on the corner of 17th Street & West Peachtree
  • It's in a growing diverse area of downtown Atlanta near Atlantic Station
  • The sound system rocks so loudly that ear plugs are for sale in the lobby
  • It looks about as unchurchy as a place could look
  • The company that runs it wants us to be there and treats us well
  • About a gazillion other things, but…

I want to say something

Hosting our Sunday morning services at Center Stage is just one part of our plan to reach people that don't go to church, don't care about church, have been turned off by church, need a church, want a church, just moved to Atlanta, just moved downtown, need a place to connect with God, want a place to serve God through helping people, and on and on and on.  A cool building doesn't connect people to God.  People connect people to God!

Center Stage, and all that we plan on doing there, though, will serve as an awesome launching pad to reach a city with a bold and courageous message of what it means to live like Jesus!

Thank all of you that have donated to our church, prayed for our church, and are now a part of our team! We are going to do awesome things in downtown Atlanta together and I can't wait!
