I’ll have to go with #5. I like the symbolism of God’s light shining courage over the city. Plus, I’m not a big fan of coura and geous on separate lines.

2 Milan Ford October 16, 2008 at 7:30 pm

#4 ALL DAY!!

3 david October 16, 2008 at 7:36 pm

5

4 Candice October 16, 2008 at 7:58 pm

I love #5!! and 6 is my second choice.

5 Cyndi October 16, 2008 at 8:10 pm

I like 4 and 6. Number 1 is my least favorite.

6 Antwon Davis October 16, 2008 at 8:30 pm

#1 – I think it would grab people’s attention and even direct them to the website.

7 chad houck October 16, 2008 at 8:59 pm

I like #1 for the web connection, and 6 has a good funk factor.

8 Nyshana October 16, 2008 at 9:06 pm

I like #3.

9 Charlie Pharis October 16, 2008 at 9:16 pm

I like #6 best. Why? I don’t know…it just “jumps out” at me more than the others!
#1 is my second choice, because like Antwon and Chad said, it points to the website.

10 Eric October 16, 2008 at 9:17 pm

3 and 6 – 6 is my favorite.

11 Charles Simmons October 16, 2008 at 9:38 pm

Hey Man whats up!!! I really like all of the designs. But that doesnt help you out any so I would pick either 2 or 5 because they both stand out clearly.

12 adam October 16, 2008 at 9:39 pm

i like #6 :) i’d buy one!

13 Vajaah October 16, 2008 at 10:22 pm

2 or 6 — lol — 5 is really well branded but I like the visual impact of how Being Courageous can catapult an urban area upward – Christward.

14 Keith October 17, 2008 at 12:04 am

I think Number #2 and then #5

15 dwight watson October 17, 2008 at 12:13 am

Have to go with #3. But I’m a big Superman geek, so that tells you how much that vote’s worth… ;)

16 dwight watson October 17, 2008 at 12:16 am

Actually, the reason I like #3 (besides the Superman similarity, of course) is that I love the metaphor of courage enveloping the city.

17 Jason Boothe October 17, 2008 at 12:42 am

i will have to pick no2

18 kvogel October 17, 2008 at 1:29 am

#4 is really courageous. It projects high and over the city. I like it.

19 Dave Ingland October 17, 2008 at 1:39 am

Shaun, from a design perspective I’d recommend #5. It fits in best with current trends in design and isn’t masculine or feminine. When you go with designs that invoke thoughts of Superman, you may turn off women and it may be too bold for some men. I know your representing being courageous, but still I think having a little more passive design would connect with more people, which gets the shirts more exposure, which starts more conversations…you can see where I’m going here.
You rock man! I’m excited for you and the ATL!

20 bryonm October 17, 2008 at 1:54 am

I like three best but probably wouldn’t wear it. What I would wear is the design you have on the back if you shrunk it and put it wear you would put a logo like Izod or Polo does. There’s a reason they sell tons of clothes.

21 Jason Boothe October 17, 2008 at 2:43 am

And my erason is ! lol because in the midst of such a diverse city and many opinions on what is right and not, “Be Courageous” stands out in the midst of of the city, just like we should stand out in the midst of all that goes on around us!

22 Santos Samayoa October 17, 2008 at 3:58 am

I like #4 and # 5, basic but gets the point across, but that coura geous does kinda throw things off a bit. but great job!!

23 Leah October 17, 2008 at 5:04 am

Design #1 speaks to me because I can see that one person standing, admonishing others to be courageous… it the midst of a big city… to fight the good fight and have faith… not always the easiest thing to do in a world of chaos and distraction (so many moving parts to balance) so often we forget that the battle is not ours.

24 GeeRenee October 17, 2008 at 5:09 am

I like #4, its a little abstract, yet the message still comes forth.

25 Isaiah October 17, 2008 at 6:23 am

I like both #1 and #6. I think both of them really catches people’s attetion and #1 really helps promote people to the website for more details.

26 Rindy Walton October 17, 2008 at 6:56 am

#4—it’s different enough to make people stop and think, then they see the back and it pulls it all together, and anyone can wear it. 2nd choice is #1 because it’s personal to your site/church. Superman might be nice for guys #2 and #3, but I wouldn’t wear it. #5 and #6 look like any other design you might find anywhere.

27 Mohamed October 17, 2008 at 7:12 am

#1 all day……

28 NKK October 17, 2008 at 7:58 am

I would prefer #5. #6 2nd, I think it would appeal to the 18 to 35 age group and that may be where you want to go. #2 and #4 with the city at the bottom may get lost…once tucked in the pants.

29 Fateen October 17, 2008 at 8:14 am

#4

30 Jesse Phillips October 17, 2008 at 8:55 am

I like 4. Even 4 with the “be courageous” a little bigger, and no white swoosh on the bottom. 2 is ok. But the superman-esque “C” is a little cheesy for my taste. However, I think the superman C might have a broader appeal.

31 Kanika October 17, 2008 at 8:59 am

I like #1 just b/c it’s a clear message that people can see from a distance and the website is shown. The other ones are good (#2, 3, 4), however, it would take about 1-2 seconds more to decipher what was being said.

32 Sophoria Westmoreland October 17, 2008 at 9:04 am

#1!!!
It’s personal touch with the person makes it stand out from the rest….When can I get mine???? I can rep for you in Maryland.

33 Angelica October 17, 2008 at 9:23 am

I like number 4!

34 LaNeitria October 17, 2008 at 9:36 am

I like design #2 the best. It goes well with your theme on your blog and it says to me that you are a church who is going to send a signal of salvation to the city at large so that those who are drawn will come. I also like designs #1 and #4 as well.

35 Kendrick October 17, 2008 at 9:59 am

I like Number 6 best and Number 1 secondly..will these come in different color. I want one in orange. Now thats hot…in a church kinda way..lol

36 RevDiana October 17, 2008 at 10:48 am

I like T shirt numbers 6 & 3 in that order. What made me choose 6 over 3 is the fact that the word courageous is not broken up and the reader can grasp it at a glance!

37 Andrew October 17, 2008 at 12:27 pm

My choice is for #1. The reason is because it is the only one that employs a human form and the Church is all about the coming together of individuals. Nothing else matters but the convergence of believers in the name of the Spirit.

38 Antwan Jefferson October 17, 2008 at 1:45 pm

#1

39 Keri O October 17, 2008 at 1:52 pm

I would like to wear #6 the most. But like someone else has said I think it’s more in line with young adult style. My second choice is #5 because I think anyone would wear it. The Superman symbol is not appealing to me because it’s been used so often for senior class shirts, for camps, fraternities, etc. It seems almost “played out”, if that term makes sense. Don’t get me wrong, I love Superman and was even Super Woman for Halloween last year!
Nice Job! Things are coming together!

40 Reggie October 17, 2008 at 2:11 pm

#2 is the best

41 Nikita October 17, 2008 at 2:57 pm

# 3. Hands. Down.
Instead of being “super” anything it is a capital C for being courageous and taking a chance, doing something new, dare and you can and will do it all in the name of our Savior. Number 3.

42 Be-Naiah Williams October 17, 2008 at 8:10 pm

#4 is a great design

43 Kathleen Couch October 17, 2008 at 8:47 pm

Shaun, I like #5 and #3. Except I would prefer Courageous more readable. Sometimes the design can be too busy. People who do not stop you, and carefully look at the shirt will not get the message. I think I have a silk screener for you. Will get back to you.

44 Susan Lolley October 18, 2008 at 1:41 pm

Gotta go with 4 — sharp, looks good, different, says what you’re saying.

45 Toni Johnson (Mom) October 20, 2008 at 8:20 am

I like No. 3!

46 John Richards October 20, 2008 at 5:29 pm

#4. Has obvious salt/light metaphor implied and not too flashy.

47 Courtny October 21, 2008 at 1:49 pm

#3 is my favorite, I like #2 second.

48 OGZzz June 15, 2009 at 4:46 am

I like 5 and 6 really Cool!

The author of http://www.shauninthecity.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: No matter how well rehearsed an important speech is, you will forget it two seconds before you need to present it. This is especially true when speaking to the opposite sex. Thanks for the info.
