Wish_list
If you've ever been here, you know that we have a HUGE vision for a new church in downtown Atlanta that not only connects with people that don't normally care about church, but we want to shower our city with acts of kindness that really demonstrate the love of Jesus and model His time on the earth.

Just a few months ago, we raised over $30,000 exclusively online so that we could receive the matching $30,000 from our great partners @ ARC.  We received the funds from ARC and haven't touched them yet as we prepare for the city-wide events we will be hosting over the next three months until we have our Grand Opening on January 11th, 2009 @ Center Stage.  I'm not drawing a salary from the church yet and have been living a very bare bones lifestyle so that our BIG vision for this church in this city will come to pass!

For that to happen, we're going to need a lot more help from churches, friends, and partners all across the country.  WE NEED YOU!  Although we're calling it a WISH LIST, we could really call it a NEEDS LIST because these are items that we need to fulfill our vision in the city.

  • We need every musical instrument you can imagine with cases, cords, stands, amps, and all.  We particularly need a great keyboard and drum set.
  • We need at least one MacBook Pro to run our video elements and song lyrics.  Center Stage is providing the projectors and screens, but we need a powerful MacBook Pro to run Pro Presenter.
  • We need a whole host of video aids and graphics for the service.
  • It may sound silly to some of you, but we also need divine favor with several vendors that we are already working with – including Center Stage – in order for all that we need to work.  Will you pray that God places a burden for our church on the hearts of the vendors and companies we are already working with or will be working with in the weeks ahead?

Thank you so much for your love, encouragement, support, and for your prayers.  I am believing by faith that every item on this list will be taken care of and that YOU will help us make that happen.

UPDATE::  In case I wasn't clear, while it would be awesome to get brand new items, we are a church plant and will EXCITEDLY accept all used donations from you, your church, your business, etc. with these items.  THANKS!

Shaun!
I am so excited to hear that Milan was able to get Pro Presenter for you. I attend a church (IMPACT) where we use Planning Center and Pro Presenter in tandem and I love the flow of our services and the ease of the back end coordination. How exciting!

Hey, Shaun,
Just curious about the MacBookPro. If your main use for it is running ProPresenter, we’ve found that just a newer MacBook works fine. We were running it first on a MBP, but the MBP got ran over and squashed. So the replacement was a MB that was closer to half the price. We do miss the screen real estate, but it’s had no complications running what we do. (But we don’t do any heavy graphics with it either, but do show videos through it)
