Buncha Stuff Sunday

- I am blown away by how well our "$20 and a Prayer" campaign is going. We’ve launched it exclusively online and feel like we’re not just raising money and bathing our church in prayer, but we are creating a lot of buzz and excitement about what we’re doing in the process. Win-Win.
- To hit our goal we need you to give here today.
- Crazy traffic caused me to be late to church this morning.
- My whole family loves attending Buckhead Church and we all look forward to being there days in advance. I am wondering now how I can stay connected to the church after we launch The Courageous Church on 1-11-2009? We are going to hate leaving that much!
- Andy Stanley preached an awesome message in our Letters to the Next President series. Check it out here.
- Andy gave a fresh perspective on the value of moral authority with Nehemiah as his character study. Andy really makes biblical characters and stories come alive. I swear he must read a different Bible than I do because he found facts about Nehemiah that I have never heard!
- Steve Fee was the worship leader today. He was awesome. His songs are about freedom and he conveys a certain sincerity that is contagious. The Steve Fee band is going to South Africa on the Passion tour soon. Pray!
- I was in the very last row in the balcony and still had a good view. No seat is a bad seat there.
- We are planning a launch team gathering soon and I can’t wait to see our team now that we’ve added some new folk to the squad. We hope to have about 75-100 people at our next gathering. More details coming soon.
- Wanna be a part of our team? Go here.
- My buddy Dion is a pastor in Duluth, GA and blogged about a tough day this morning. Church planting is not always a trip to Disney World.
- Met my blog buddy Antwon Davis @ church today. A great young kid with a good heart and a passion for innovation. Relationships form in brand new ways in 2008. I have never met this guy, but we already know a lot about each other through online social networks like Twitter, Facebook, etc.
- I REALLY need to do a better job at managing my daily calendar. I have set everything up with Google Calendar, but haven’t got into the groove of using it regularly. Any tips?
- Was shocked to see Anderson Silva so easily woop up on James Irvin last night. I am convinced that Anderson is the best fighter in the world. Now everyone will want to see Silva fight guys like Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva…a dream come true for a fight fan.
- Speaking of fighters, pray for my boy Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. He is having some major struggles right now. Quinton is a rather new Christian and needs good people around him now as well.
- I am really looking forward to school next month at Candler School of Theology @ Emory. I have already selected my classes and have met some of my classmates on Facebook.
- My wife is watching Pretty Woman while I type this. When I was young and planned on being a professional wrestler, I had a huge crush on Julia Roberts.
- If you are serious about planting a church, I would seriously urge you to contact the team @ ARC. I am in the early stages of working with them, but they are first-class. I have a conference call with a new coach they have assigned me tomorrow.
- I didn’t know that Nelson Searcy offered this free package of goodies for church planters. Go sign up today. I did. You should also order this book of his right away. A must read.

Blessing from the Fellowship. We are a struggling church plant in Smyrna, GA. To keep me up to date with my schedule, I use a T-Mobile Dash with my Gmail Account and sync it using a free mail2web account. My T-Mobile account has a unlimited internet option which tags on $4.99 a month and I am able to stay in touch with email and calendar events all the time. Then I make a practice of putting EVERYTHING on my calendar. This sets my mind free for prayer, relationships, strategy and leadership because I don’t have to worry about where I need to be next. One other thing I do is get a GPS system for the car. It is priceless for the church planter because you’re always checking out properties, people and stuff and it actually tells you how long it takes to get places. I purchased one for $149 from BrandsMart and it has helped me in so many ways. I’d love to touch base on other things, feel free to contact us at 678-369-4448.
God Bless
Todd
