A few weeks ago, Perry Noble, pastor of NewSpring in South Carolina posted a great blog about the 5 ways he has responded to criticism. I think I am currently at step #2, but look forward to moving up the ladder to step #5. Right now, I find myself engaging critics and ultimately wasting my time with people that already have their minds made up.
Check out the steps and let me know where you are? How did you move up from one level to the next?

I think I’m in the Matt Hughes phase… No need to talk a lot of smack, just stinkin’ prove it in the cage yo!
Just kidding… kind of…
Actually I usually hang out around phases #1, #4 or #5. I don’t get angry too easily unless someone comes after my family or my integrity.
I guess, now that I think about it, I haven’t really had too much serious conflict in the last year… that’s probably not a good thing, huh?
But I really do feel like I’m in a season of rest. (I just got out of a bad relationship… Church Plant that is.)
I have had a fighting spirit all my life man and tend to take this with me into criticisms and conflict. What I have found, though, is that fighting with my critics or even engaging them is just way too draining man!
(Matt Hughes is one of my favorite fighters by the way – hope he wins next Saturday!)
